Our family loves games. Well, sometimes I do too, but most others in our family love games. I do have to agree… it’s so much fun to connect and spend precious time together. I have a short attention span, and get antsy. But this one has a hold on me!
So… we got this game from my mom a while back, and the kids played it for a long time. My husband played with them. Then even I played with them. It’s so much fun for all of us.
What’s really cool is a 6 year old invented it. Can you imagine? She totally rocks!
The game helps with math too – you come up with matching pairs of numbers and addiction facts! So if you have a 1 and a 5, and a 6 then presto you have an equation:
1 + 5 = 6
…and you can exchange all 3 cards for 3 more cards. The idea is you find kings to awaken the sleeping queens. There’s more addition – if the sleeping queens’ face values add up to 50 YOU WIN!! This is great for a budding mathematician 1st grade to 5th grade or older! 🙂
It’s fun when something can completely grab your attention so you can just be together.
